Heritage Walks (2 locations)

Stroll through Stockton Heath to hear about the village’s history from its pre-Roman days to the village as it looks now. See where battles were fought, how people lived, worked, shopped, prayed and travelled in bygone times.

Choose from three sessions.

Thursday 4th July at 6pm

Heritage Walk North: Stockton Heath North of the Bridgewater Canal

Meet outside Alexandra Park Café.

Saturday 6th July at 2pm

Heritage Walk South: Stockton Heath South via Red Lane

A surprising look at Appleton and Stockton Heath’s pre-industrial history. Meet outside London Bridge Pub, London Road. As this heritage walk goes up Red Lane and past Hill Cliffe Baptist Church, it is suitable for people with a reasonable level of mobility.

Sunday 7th July at 2pm

Heritage Walk North: Stockton Heath North of the Bridgewater Canal

Meet outside Alexandra Park Café.

Places are limited, pick up a ticket before the walks either at the Festival Box Office from early June, or go to the information tent on the Festival Field during the festival.

The walks are suitable for all ages. Adult tickets are £4 per walk, children are free but must be accompanied by an adult.
